EARTH TEAM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The strength of any Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Area is in the community volunteer involvement. The Southwest Idaho RC&D Council, Inc. is made up of volunteer board members including County Commissioners, Mayors, and many other local leaders. In addition to administration, volunteers have assisted in construction projects by providing skills, labor and/or materials.

Why on earth should you volunteer your time and energy to our organization?

Are your interests in natural resources management and conservation and human resource development? The Council is striving to address these concerns on the Duck Valley American Indian Reservation and in the Counties of Ada, Canyon, Elmore, and Owyhee.

You can make a difference!

Join the 12,000 EARTH TEAM members across the United States working to improve our environment. The benefits of volunteering are as unique as the individual or group who is devoting their time to others. You can advance your career, share your talents, expand your knowledge, make new friends, develop leadership skills, develop new skills, or build teamwork skills to help shape the future of southwest Idaho.

We need to tell the RC&D story to encourage greater community participation, along with a membership campaign for an endowment fund that will be used to perpetuate RC&D services in local communities. Skills are needed to develop and publish a newsletter and news media articles.
