This soil information is updated regularly, and will have the most up to date soils information available. We encourage you to visit this site, try a few of the options, and see how your soils rate! Print a personalized report that includes maps that show the soils interpretation you have selected for your area.

Idaho Soil Atlas
For an overview of the soils that make up the diverse state of Idaho, visit the web version of the Idah oSoil Atlas. The Idaho Soils Atlas features 54 soils throughout the state, including horizon and landscape photos of the soil. The Idaho Soils Atlas was originally developed in 1983 by the University of Idaho, College of Agriculture; the Soil Conservation Service (now Natural Resources Conservation Service) and Forest Service of the Untied States Department of Agriculturel the Cureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and Bureau of Indian Affairs of the United States Department of Interior; and the Idaho Soil Conservation Commission. This web version was made possible with assistance from the Southwest Idaho RC & D.
