The State of Idaho has
nine RC&D Areas, providing assistance throughout the state.
A citizens group called a Council leads each of the areas.
Membership in these Councils represent official sponsoring
organizations, which include American Indian tribes, county
governments, soil and water conservation districts, towns, local
organizations, special districts and others. These local
leaders focus on the environmental, economic and social needs of
their area by assisting sponsors with projects relating to
community development, land conservation, environmental
enhancement and water management to enhance the quality of life.
Mission Statement: Promote,
deliver and assist local RC&D efforts and programs.
Vision Statement: To be
recognized as a leader in community development and natural
resource conservation.
